About Bobby Moderow

A protégé of legendary slack key master Raymond Kane, one of the founders of the award-winning trio Maunalua, Bobby carries forward a lineage of Hawaiian music that is both timeless and alive. His artistry has taken him around the world, from landmark cultural events and historic stages to intimate solo performances that highlight the nuance and soul of his craft. As a teacher and mentor, he is also known as a true keeper of the flame, having guided the next generation of artists, including acclaimed slack key guitarist Makana.
