WAHINE with Jenny Yim
A Songwriters' Round Featuring BEYA & Tiara Gomes
Three Wahine. Three Voices. One Night of Music & Stories.
Inspired by Nashville's celebrated songwriter rounds, WAHINE brings together three talented women for an evening of original music, stories, laughter, and spontaneous collaboration.
Created and hosted by Jenny Yim, a 2025 Hawaiʻi Songwriting Festival Songwriter of the Year, Hawaiʻi to the World Fan Favorite, and HKF Next Level artist, Jenny brings her signature blend of acoustic folk, indie-pop, and heartfelt storytelling to an evening celebrating Hawaiʻi’s rising female voices.
Joining Jenny are two standout artists from the Henry Kapono Foundation's 2026 On the Rise program:
BEYA - From Kauaʻi, BEYA brings a rich, expressive voice and a captivating blend of indie folk, island soul, jazz, and Latin influences. A contestant on Season 26 of NBC's The Voice (Team Gwen) and a Top 5 finalist on Hawaiʻi to the World, BEYA brings national-stage experience and heartfelt original songwriting to the WAHINE circle.
Tiara Gomes - Born and raised in Waimānalo, Tiara blends island soul, R&B, bossa nova, and jazz into her own sophisticated sound. Mentored by Grammy-nominated artist Kimié Miner through Haku Collective’s MeleCraft program, Tiara was also featured on the Nā Hōkū Hanohano-nominated album Children of the Sea. Her growing musical career includes “Hurricane,” a collaboration with Maoli, and a heartfelt collection of original songs rooted in storytelling, vulnerability, and aloha.
Expect beautiful songwriting, unexpected collaborations, great stories, and spontaneous musical moments throughout the evening.
Set against Kapono's waterfront atmosphere with great food, specialty cocktails, and Friday night energy, WAHINE is a night to listen, laugh, connect, and discover some of Hawaiʻi's remarkable voices—in a way only the wahine can.
