Here Are Some Plays We Like is back with six all-new readings! This week, we have Lone Wolves a new play in development by Katherine Gwynn, directed by Jack Bowes.

NO MORE LONE WOLVES: A Retreat to Combat Toxic Masculinity and Disarm Gun Violence at its Roots.” Mark, our facilitator, has made it his life’s mission to end the epidemic of mass shootings after tragically losing his son to gun violence. But with nine young men attending his retreat this weekend with their own beliefs and emotional baggage in tow, Mark finds that his own skeletons are rattling at the closet doors. Oh, and Something's lurking in the woods, stalking the boys, and picking them off one by one.

Lone Wolves is a visceral, comic and earnest window into the emotional lives of men and the question: what, and who, will save men from being consumed by American masculinity?

Here Are Some Plays We Like is half play reading, half party, and all one-of-a-kind theatre experience. We're bringing artist-driven theatre to Chicago for our fourth year and putting on...well...some plays we like. Doors open at 6, show starts at 6:30.
