Got a fun cycle tour coming up but can't stop thinking about your worst nightmares?

Tired of relying on someone else in your cycling group when things go wrong?

Or worse yet - you won't try riding on your own lest ye be stranded in the middle of nowhere?

Here's your solution: Jenni's Emergency Roadside Repairs class.

By the end of this 4 hour class you will have more confidence in yourself, your abilities, your kit, and your bike.

You'll be mentally, physically, and bicycally prepared for whatever comes your way.

We will cover what to do if:

• your chain breaks
• a cable snaps
• a spoke breaks
• your tyre splits
• your derailleur bends/breaks
• you mentally spin out

We'll also cover:

• your packing list
• prevention tips
• what tools to leave at home
• unknown unknowns

This is a hands-on class, you will be working on your own bike. Class numbers capped at 3 to make sure you get personal attention and time to practice. 

What to bring: 

• your bike
• your packing list
• any tools you plan on bringing with you on your trip (real or imagined)

PREREQUISITES: You must already know how to do a puncture repair (this will not be covered in the class). 

You must be 18+ 

By the end of our session you'll be asking yourself, "What's the worst that could happen?"

About Your Instructor

Jenni Gwiazdowski is a bike mechanic, instructor, published author, serial entrepreneur, and cat herder. She has seen some things and is here to teach you all about it! She set up and ran the London Bike Kitchen from 2012-2025, wrote the book How to Build a Bike, and runs a Saddle Library (coming soon to HHV). She's now the Operations Manager / Mechanic / Marketer / Janitor at Herne Hill Velodrome. Her raison d'etre is to get more people cycling more of the time, in order for bikes to take over the world.
