Days Out Group - Frogmore Paper Mill

Frogmore Paper Mill, in the heart of Hertfordshire, is a unique heritage site being the oldest mechanised paper mill in the world. Paper has been made there for more than 400 years . Discover how rags and other raw materials are transformed into paper, see historic machinery in action and learn about the people and processes behind an industry that has played such an important part in our everyday lives. The mill is situated on an island in the River Gade, which forms part of the Grand Union Canal. 

Please join us for our visit which includes a guided tour bringing the mill’s remarkable history to life, a fish and chips lunch, a paper making class and tea and cake before leaving.
