Hibernacle returns for a second year of this magical boutique festival at Orlagh House for July 18th and 19th 2026

Hibernacle is an outdoor event tucked away in a neat and walkabout space around Orlagh House, with a main stage area looking out over the beautiful views of Dublin City, a secret stage with both programmed and pop shows and events and a bar and food area with pop up performances and areas to sit and soak up the atmosphere and the magic surroundings of Orlagh House, a hidden gem in the Dublin mountains, short taxi drive from the city centre, or Bray and a even shorter 3 minute taxi drive from the closest bus stop. FIRST LINE UP ANNOUNCEMENT

Commemorating 40 years Paul Simon's album 'GRACELAND' live with the Turning Pirate House band and some of Ireland's most celebrated singers including Roesy, Wallis Bird, Gemma Hayes, Lisa Hannigan, Paul Noonan (Bell X1), Carsie Blanton and more to be announced. 

TRIO show with Lisa Hannigan, Paul Noonan (Bell X1) and Gemma Hayes, sharing the stage and collaborating with songs and stories.

Lisa Hannigan, Gemma Hayes and Paul Noonan have always individually danced between genres as artists. Collaboration is part of the makeup of each of their careers. Three artists who have predominantly been centre-stage in their careers, while also experiencing the other parts and spaces and instruments that populate a band; Lisa, Gemma and Paul will come together to collaborate and share their stage and their songs with each other.

Carsie Blanton is a songwriter with hooks, chutzpah, and revolutionary optimism. “It is possible to face the world as it is – rapidly heating, ruled by grifters, ravaged by profitable wars – and still ha hope,” she says of her newest release, After the
Revolution. “Not the narrow, grasping hope you might hang on an election or a billionaire, but a patient, zoomed-out hope.” Of After the Revolution, NPR’s Fresh Air says “”Protest music tends to be strident or self-righteous or just bluntly angry. But Blanton, a folk singer with a rock attitude, knows how to construct songs with real melodies and storylines that don’t obscure her messages.”

With her unique mix of humor, craft, and social critique, Blanton has amassed a small menagerie of viral hits (Rich People, Shit List, Fishin’ With You) and a dedicated fan base. In addition to fifteen years on the road with her band, Blanton volunteers a political organizer, and was recently published in The Nation. Her latest full-length album After the Revolution, produced by Grammy-winner Tyler Chester, came out on March 21st. In summer of 2024, Blanton began releasing her
most viral political songs on a new EP, The Red Album Vol. 1.

Aftershow will start at 10.30pm and finish at 2am. There will be live music sessions in one room and a DJ in the other. Full bar will be available on site.

Just 30 minutes from Dublin City Centre and five minutes from the M50, Orlagh House is easily accessible — a short taxi from Bray, nearby suburbs, or the city itself.
Hibernacle is the perfect antidote to the larger, more chaotic festivals out there. It's a relaxed, “grown-up” festival experience with classy food vendors, great drinks, and no stress - just music, people, and memories.

Do I need to buy tickets in advance?

We recommend that you purchase your ticket in advance to avoid disappointment as we cannot guarantee there will be tickets for sale at the time of the event.

Is there a booking fee?

Our ticketing platfrom adds a fee per ticket sold. This is the booking fee. Our ticket price includes 13.5% VAT and 3% IMRO charges.

What do I get for my ticket?

Each ticket availble has a description of what you get for your ticket, but daily passes allow access to the grounds of Orlagh House and all the outdoor events from gates opening to the closing of the outdoor stage at 10.30p. There are limited tickets available to the aftershow on Saturday night inside Orlagh House. Day passes, weekend passes and combination passes are available and outlined as options in the buy tickets section.

Can I purchase a day ticket?

Yes, all daily and combination options are availble in the buy ticket options on Ticket Tailor.

Is this event over 18's or suitable for children?

Though there is no specific children's entertainment, we welcome families and music fans of all ages. We have created a 60% price ticket for under 16's and under 3's go for free. All under 18 years olds must be accompanied by an adult and all children must be accompanied at all times. 

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

We really hope avoid issuing refunds once tickets are sold. As we are an independent festival and a very small dedicated team, the process can be complex and we build our event outward based on ticket sales and that budget growing. However of course, if you have a valid reason and are in need of a refund, we will do our best to facilitate up to 2 weeks before the event. We would love to see you passing on or reselling tickets to friends as an option to refunds as it allows us to keep planning within the parameters of tickets being sold, and within 2 weeks of the event our small team will be under huge pressure to get things set up and ready for the magic of the weekend. We understand how things go though, so please get in touch on info@turningpirate.com if needed. 

How do I get to Orlagh House?

The 15 and 15B buses from Dublin City to Hunterswood leave you 3 minutes drive from Orlagh. The S8 bus from Citywest to Dun Laoghaire leaves you 5 minutes drive from Orlagh. Orlagh is 7 mins from Exit 12 on the M50. Orlagh is a short taxi ride from city centre or Bray. Currently it is NOT SAFE to walk from the bus stop up to Orlagh House as the roads are rural and without a pathway, so please be safe, order a taxi from the bus stop or arrange lifts where possible when arriving at the event. It is only a short 3 minute drive/taxi from the closest bus stop to Orlagh House.

Is there parking at Orlagh House?

Please get in touch if you intend driving as there's limited parking at Orlagh House and we need to watch numbers. We recommend you use public transport, lifts or taxis where possible. If you have any additional accessibility needs please contact us and we can ensure you are accommodated as needed. 

Do I need to pay for parking at Orlagh House?

For this event, there is very limited free parking at Orlagh House. You will need to notify us in advance if you intend on driving and where possible we will try to reserve parking for people with additional accessibility needs.

Is Orlagh House wheelchair accessible?

Yes, Orlagh House is accessible to the left of the house. There are wheelchair accessible toilets on the ground floor. Please let us know if we can assist you at any point before or during your time at Orlagh House.

Can I buy a Hibernacle Aftershow Ticket when I get there?

We recommend if you want to stay for the after show event on Saturday night from 10:30pm-2am, that you purchase a wristband with your ticket as places are limited within Orlagh House. We cannot guarantee wristbands will be available to purchase on the night and they are already selling very quickly.

Is there camping?

No, there is no camping at Hibernacle at Orlagh House. The outdoor site will be completely cleared at 10:30pm and Orlagh House After show will end at 2am. There is no accommodation for ticket holders on-site.

Can I stay at Orlagh House?

There will be no rooms available to rent in Orlagh House during this event. However Orlagh is available to rent for all kinds of events through their own wonderful team of staff at info@orlagh.ie

Can I bring my own food and drink to this event?

Please don't! There will be a wide range of delicious food to purchase. Specific dietary requirements and preferences will be catered for. There will be an indoor and outdoor bar and a tea/coffee vendor.

Is this an outdoor event?

Yes, this is an outdoor event in the beautiful grounds of Orlagh House. Please wear appropriate clothes and footwear for our lovely, unpredictable Irish climate! Hibernacle's After show event from 10:30pm to 2am will be inside Orlagh House.

Can I pay cash during the event at Orlagh House?

Yes, both cash and card are accepted at Orlagh House.

Are there toilet facilities at Orlagh House?

Orlagh House has toilets inside the building and there will be serviced portaloos and hand sanitising stations in the grounds of Orlagh House. There are wheelchair accessible toilets inside Orlagh House.

Please bring....

Keep cups (no glass please), refillable water bottles (no glass please), picnic blankets, light camp chairs, appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather, proof of purchase, identification, a small bag to carry your essentials on the day. Large bags may be searched at the gate.
