Home Education Event - Bushcraft and Animal Interaction Event

Come and visit us at Higher Farm Wellbeing and Activity centre near Knutsford, Cheshire and experience our Woodland Adventure and Animal Interaction event.

Enjoy an unforgettable woodland adventure at Higher Farm. Guided by our friendly activity team, participants can explore nature trails, build shelters, light fires, cook around the campfire and enjoy outdoor free play developing curiosity, confidence and a real connection with nature.

Drop into our café where you can grab a drink and the opportunity to chat with other home educators.

Afterwards, it’s time to head to the farm to learn more about our amazing animals! Get up close with our ponies, donkeys, sheep, goats, alpacas, pigs, ferrets, rabbits and more. They’ll have the chance to feed, walk and handle a variety of animals, creating memorable, hands-on experiences.

Working alongside our experienced team, participants will learn how to care for our farm animals while developing confidence, responsibility and practical skills. Throughout the session, participants will have the opportunity to hold the animals, clean out pens, prepare feed and fresh water, and learn about the animals daily care routines. Participants will be able to aid their learning with fun worksheets, colouring and quiz's!

Every activity is designed to be educational, interactive and interesting, giving a real insight into life on a working farm.
