An hour long session to try out our MTB skills sessions or simply gain more mountain biking experience. Designed to give kids an introduction to the skills and themes of the awards. The session will start with a rider and bike safety check followed by basic skills training, games and challenges. After that we'll head out for a ride round the trails in the area.
Suitable
for kids with existing basic bike handling skills (pedalling,
cornering & braking). Generally from 5+ years.
What
do I need to bring: Your
bike, helmet, spare clothing, drinks & snacks and a small
rucksack to carry it in when out riding. Excess items can be left in the van when out
riding. It is recommended that you bring your own hand sanitiser. Remember to bring any medication, inhalers, epipens etc
Start/finish location: Evanton Community Wood, Woodland Classroom/Cabin. OS grid reference NH 603 664. From the village Co-Op go up to the very top of Chapel Road, you'll see a small path on your right taking you into the wood. Continue along this gravel path until you see the cabin.
