A half day of MTB tuition learning new skills and riding awesome trails.
Level 2 is where the real fun starts! Building on the core bike handling skills covered in Level 1, it's time to start developing mountain bike specific skills such as riding in the attack position, using brakes more effectively and climbing as well as how to look after your bike and others while out riding.
Riders can join at Level 2 if they are confident riding smooth off-road trails and are comfortable with core skills such as pedalling and braking.
£25 per person, max 4 participants.
Generally ages 6-9 but you should consider carefully the participant's existing mountain bike skills & experience to determine the session that's appropriate for them. Remember that age does not equal ability and that everyone learns at different speeds. Please get in touch if in any doubt.
What do I need to bring: Your bike, helmet, gloves, extra layers, change of clothing, drinks & snacks and a small rucksack to carry it in when out riding. Remember to bring any medication, inhalers, epipens etc. It is recommended that you bring your own hand sanitiser.
Start/finish location: Evanton Community Wood, Woodland Classroom/Cabin. OS grid reference NH 603 664. From the village Co-Op go up to the very top of Chapel Road, you'll see a small path on your right taking you into the wood. Continue along this gravel path until you see the cabin. Please park in the village, not at the cabin. View on Google Maps.
Will there be cake at the end? Of course!
