Heartful Movement with Subhanaya
Heartful Movement with Subhanaya
Need help?
Subhanaya is visiting the Highlands with an incredible offering for us!
Heartful movement: a day of movement and meditation - to meet and know the heart qualities of metta (loving-kindness) in your body and your dance, learning how you can deeply resource yourself through both meditation and movement, to embody and cultivate metta in your life.
No experience of dance or movement is required, only a willingness to explore your experience of movement in the body you are living in.
Subhanaya is an Open Floor Movement Practice teacher and works at Dhanakosa Retreat Centre, where she regularly teaches on retreat and loves to explore the Dharma and meditation with an embodied perspective.
Open Floor is a resource based movement practice where we can learn to be at home in our bodies and move what is true for us. There is no fixed form or choreography and all bodies are welcome. Find our more on Subhanaya’s website here: www.subhanayadance.com
What do I pay to attend?
This practice day runs on the basis of dana (generosity), like all our events. When those who are able donate generously, it enable those with less financial resources to freely attend. There is a suggested amount of £40-60 for the day but please give whatever you can afford (whether more OR less) to help us continue to run events for the benefit of our community. Your donation will help cover our centre costs and help support Subhanaya's work. Regardless of donation amount you are welcome to attend this event (eg if you're unable to donate anything). You can book and choose an amount to donate online when you choose to "Select tickets".
