Aviemore Gathering & AGM
Book your place! We have four gatherings taking place around the Highlands on Saturday 20th September. Here are the details for the AVIEMORE Gathering, followed by our combined AGM.
Saturday 20th September
St ThisAndrews Church Hall, Grampian Road, Aviemore
10am morning gathering, 12 noon AGM, followed by a shared feast lunch.
As part of the Highlands & Islands Climate Festival, this event is a gathering for anyone interested in local food solutions, especially community growing. Building on the Community Growing Network set up by the Highlands & Islands Climate Hub and the Cairngorm National Parks Authority, this is a great opportunity to gather community food intiatives and growers to learn from each other's experience and support new connections.
Meeting at 10, there'll be a chance to chat and discuss issues over a cuppa and on the walk to the Therapy Garden at the Community Hospital, where we'll enjoy a tour from Cheryl Galbraith of Badenoch and Strathspey Therapy Gardens.
This is also a chance to learn more about how the Highland Good Food Partnership, Climate Hub and National Park Authority can support your project/community in developing a strong local food ecosystem.
After our brief HGFP online AGM, where you can find out more about what we do throughout the Highlands as well as in your area, we'll share a potluch feast.
If you're able to, it would be wonderful if you could bring a dish to share at the meal. It's very helpful if the dish can be labelled and also contain details of any allergens. Thankyou!
In partnership with Highlands & Islands Climate Hub and and Cairngorms 2030, a Cairngorms National Park Authority programme supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery players.
