Join the Highland Players of Almaguin as we present Life in Four Acts, four short comedy plays by local playwrights and featuring actors and directors from across the Almaguin Highlands.
Not So Swift by Alberta Robinet, directed by Bev Stockdale, starring Sandra Jenkinson and Lori Cutler ~ Swifties unite! Join Allison and Samantha, and Allison's purse, Shirley, because "surely she has everything" in her purse, as they arrive painfully early and wait for their favourite singer to take the stage at an Eras concert.
Toilet Talk by Alberta Robinet, directed by John Bressan, starring Marisa Bressan and Bev Stockdale ~ It's Saturday afternoon at a local coffee shop and two women are taking a break in the coffee shop bathroom. One is on a date, and it was going pretty well, and one was on a job interview and her afternoon was not going at all as planned. What on earth could they have to chat about from their respective bathroom stalls?
The Interview by Alberta Robinet, directed by Scott Andres, starring Scott Andres and Sue Thornborrow ~ Arriving at an interview late is a good way to start off on the wrong foot, especially when you really need the job and the boss is already in a bad mood. And when all the questions are wildly open ended questions and the boss is clearly looking for specific answers, it's impossible to guess which answers could be the right ones that will land the job.
I'll Know by Wanda Hill, directed by Hazel Hornibrook, starring Wanda Hill, Pam Marshall Gray, John Bressan, Sylvia Busch, Robin Stewart and Scott Andres ~ Alice has just come from a friend's funeral and she really didn't approve of it at all. Alice decides that there's only one way to make sure her own funeral will be just right, and that's to plan it all out herself.
