Learn with Lorna in-person

On 28th May 2026, the Highland Archive Service's series of short films, 'Learn with Lorna' will mark its 260th episode.  At the suggestion of a viewer who's been watching since episode 1, the Highland Archive Centre is delighted to host an in-person event to celebrate the occasion.

A talk on "Treasures of the Highland Archive Service", will be followed by refreshments before attendees have the chance to see some of the many documents that have featured across the 6 years of the series, to meet some of the other team members who have contributed research over the years, and to go on a behind-the-scenes tour of the archive centre strongrooms and conservation studio!

We are really looking forward to welcoming LWL viewers to the archive centre and celebrating the community that has grown from the series. We're so grateful for the support the series has received over the years and hope this event will allow us to say thank you to all who have helped it grow, and perhaps allow some people to meet in real life for the first time! Whether you've never been in to the archive centre before, or whether you've been in hundreds of times, we'd love to see you at this event!

There is no charge to attend, although donations are greatly appreciated, but booking is essential for catering purposes.
