We are a collective of professional women from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds who believe in the transformative power of place‑based storytelling. Our mission is simple: to restore memory, honor truth, and create experiences that stay with you long after the tour ends.

St. Augustine holds a layered past, including African resilience, Indigenous alliance, Spanish Black freedom, and centuries of survival on sacred ground. These narratives are often overlooked, yet they are essential to understanding the city’s true legacy. At High Road Tours, we guide guests through these stories not through lectures, but through embodied experience — standing where freedom was claimed, pausing where resilience endured, and walking paths where voices were silenced and reclaimed.

Our tours are intentionally designed to be reflective, grounding, and culturally informed. We are not reenactors or shock historians. Instead, we focus on clarity, compassion, and depth, creating a space where learning feels personal rather than political. Each tour blends historical insight with moments for guests to connect, observe, and absorb history in a meaningful way.

Founded by a PhD cultural historian, High Road Tours is driven by a vision: that when people experience history differently, they internalize it differently—and internalized truth has the power to shift perspective at the level of identity.
