Join us at HurstWorks for a viewing evening with our April artist in residence Laura Darling. 

Laura is an artist and writer from Brighton who works in oils with marks made in pastel and pencil to capture atmosphere, space and silence. Favouring a dryish, chalky palette, she looks for lines of light, slivers of colour that draw the eye and pull the viewer into the scene, whether the subject is landscape or still life.

She studied painting at the Art Academy in London and has exhibited with the RSBA and was shortlisted for the Jacksons Art Prize. Her work is in collections at home and abroad. Laura's collection at HurstWorks runs through to 30th April.
