Explore fascinating seaweed varieties and marine life during one of the lowest spring tides of the year at Bracelet Bay (meet by the old lifeguard hut). Led by Marine Ecologist Flo, and Nutritional Therapist Beth, we'll uncover hidden gems among the rocks, including edible seaweed species that call this area home.
You'll discover the art of sustainable hand-harvesting techniques for edible seaweed, ensuring minimal impact on the marine environment. We'll be joined by Lets Go Slowly at the beach to share with us the wonder of mushroom cultivation. After our exploration, we'll indulge in a feast prepared by the talented chef from Rhannu Supper Club, featuring delicious seaweed inspired dishes, overlooking the ocean.
You'll also have the opportunity to browse beautiful bohemian-inspired jewellery from Just Plain Charming, drawing inspiration from elements of nature as well as various geometric shapes and patterns found in the wider world. Ceramics from Just Plain Charming are small functional items made from stoneware and are glazed in deep earthy tones!
*We'll end with an optional slow beach yoga flow to digest and enjoy the surroundings, led by the lovely Ellie Manners. *Unfortunately the yoga has had to be cancelled due to teacher availability - sorry for any inconvenience - extra seaweed bars instead!
Please wear sturdy footwear for this outdoor excursion. While we'll have shelter available, in the event of severe weather, the workshop will be rescheduled for everyone's safety.
10% of our workshop ticket sales will go towards marine and coastal habitat restoration projects. We have student and low income tickets available - we trust you to pay what you can. Children and young people over 12 welcome accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We can't wait to see you there!
Flo and Beth xx
