We're excited to offer an introductory course to baking Sourdough Bread.

Katy, who has over seven years of experience baking sourdough, will lead the course and share her valuable tips and tricks.

During this course, you'll be guided through the entire sourdough process, starting from feeding and developing your starter to baking a beautiful loaf. You will learn about the necessary equipment and baking terminology, as well as how to effectively schedule sourdough baking into your daily routine. By the end of the day, you will have fed your starter, mixed your dough, and shaped a loaf to take home and bake the following day. We will also demonstrate the baking process with pre-shaped loaves, ensuring you understand each step and its timing. There will be ample time for questions and note-taking throughout the day.

You will leave with:-

Your own active sourdough starter

- A recipe and detailed notes covering the techniques discussed

- A banneton for proofing your dough

- A shaped sourdough loaf ready for baking at home the next day

A delicious lunch, featuring freshly baked sourdough, along with beverages will be provided.

Please remember to bring an apron and a clean tea towel with you.
