Celebrating National Refugee Week - in Amberley !
Combining other worlds and cultures, HILL HOUSE brings you
Feast, Stories, Song and Dance from TIBET
in a beautiful English country garden - complete with sunshine, showers, lawn, trees, marquees and teas...
The programme:
- The gate opens at 1pm
- At 1.30 pm, or soon after, will be served tasty Tibetan treats cooked by Tashi and friends
- This will be followed at about 3pm with delightful music, song and dance, from our Tibetan artists.
- There will be supplementary performances, including stories from around the worl
- At
5 pm (approximately) there will be teas and soft drinks. You may like
to bring a cake to share. Time to chat and meet each other:
audience, cooks and performers.
- There may also be a RAFFLE !
The afternoon will raise funds for Sanctuary Breaks for refugees - periods of rest, respite and relative normality for people waiting months or years for decisions on their application to stay safety in the UK. We will have your name at the door! The event will be outdoors only (apart from visits to the loo). You may like to bring a folding chair, rug or cushion.
