Join us for our annual membership meeting on Thursday, May 7, at 6 pm. This year, we are celebrating America with a selection of pies and ice cream! We are also celebrating with three rounds of national, state, and local trivia! The Board of Directors has awarded former HCSCC Executive Director Maureen Kelly Jonason the Clay County Heritage Award for her 17 years of dedication to HCSCC. Jonason initially served as the Executive Director of the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center and oversaw its merger with the Clay County Historical Society. From there, she stewarded HCSCC for the next two decades bringing in $2.6 million in grants for exhibits, programming, and other projects. Along with building this stable foundation for HCSCC, she championed diversity and inclusion in our organization as well as promoted local fiber artistry. A brief business meeting to elect board members will be held first, followed by remarks from Jonason, and trivia.
Tickets are $20 per person, which covers room rental, food, linens, and award engraving.
