Highfield House tour with lunch
Multiple dates and times
Highfield House, YO25 5YP
Description
Originally built in the Gothic style in 1864, Grade II-listed Highfield House was remodelled in 1882 by Victorian architect Temple Moore, who also designed the stained glass window in the entrance hall featuring the UK's patron saints. The current owners have sympathetically restored the interior rooms, revealing hidden original features, and the property is now a venue for events and weddings.
This is a rare opportunity for visitors to enjoy an owner-led guided tour of the house and gardens and to learn about the history of the site.
The visit will start with tea/coffee and cake on arrival, followed by a house and garden tour and a two-course lunch. The lunch menu will be sent to visitors a few weeks before the tour date so they can make their choices.
Tickets £50 including refreshments on arrival and lunch. Please give your choice of main course and dessert when booking.
Main course choices:
- Fish Pie, Salad and Chips
- Beef Pie, Salad and Chips
- Colcannon Cake, Salad and Chips
