Description
Discover the stories behind this historic home, dating back to medieval times, from passionate owners Tim and Bridget Wiltshire.
Brockworth Court is a historic manor house visited by Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn in 1535. Former home of a succession of priors of Llanthony Secunda in Gloucester and, more recently, to three generations of the Wiltshire family who’ve restored much of the house and created the gardens. 15th-century wall paintings, secret priest hole. The tythe barn dates back to the 13th century. Adjacent Norman church.
An intense, informal, stunning tapestry-style garden beautifully complements the period manor house which it surrounds. Organic, naturalistic, with a Monet Bridge over a fish pion leading to Fiji summerhouse. The kitchen garden was once cultivated by the monks. View to Coopers Hill where the annual cheese roll event takes place.
