The present hall was built in the 1820s by the architects James Pritchett and Charles Watson, but the Saltmarshe family lived on the site from the 12th century until the death of Philip Saltmarshe in the early 1970s. The property was then bought by Mr & Mrs Philip Bean and subsequently sold to the present owners, the Whyte family, in 2012. It has since been elegantly restored to create a venue for events and weddings.
This is a rare opportunity to visit the house and gardens and learn more about the history of the family.
The tour includes a talk by local historian Susan Butler, and tea/coffee and cakes.
