Ever wondered what life is like for a Chelsea pensioner? Join us in November and find out more during a private conducted tour of Wren's glorious seventeenth-century Royal Hospital, led by a Chelsea pensioner.
The Wren Chapel
This is home for 300 retired soldiers of the British army. They must surely be some of the luckiest pensioners in London! Listen to their tales of how they managed to secure one of the coveted 300 places to make this their home. Marvel at the wonderful Christopher Wren architecture and interior decoration, including the Wren dining room and chapel. Enjoy the grounds and admire the gilded stature of the founder, King Charles II. And all but a stone’s throw from the King’s Road and Sloane Square, making this an ideal trip to plan a little Christmas shopping too!
