Ever fancied working abroad, supporting prison and probation services in other countries? The HMPPS International Team enable this by arranging short and long term placements in all of the UK overseas territories.

During these online sessions, you will get the chance to hear from HMPPS staff who have previously completed overseas projects and find out what it was like. What were their expectations before they arrived? What were the conditions like in the prisons? How did they support the services in those countries to enable them to make effective and sustainable changes? Would they do it again? You will also find out how you could apply for these opportunities in the future.

There are two sessions - the session on 11th May is with staff who have completed short term overseas projects, and the session on 18th May is with staff who have been deployed overseas on 2-3 year contracts.

This event is open to criminal justice staff and students only. Please register with your work or university email address. You will be asked to confirm your role and organisation at checkout. We may need to ask you to provide additional verification.
