In 2021 The Disabilities Trust launched the Ask- Understand- Adapt online brain injury training which is available for all staff working across the CJS. Research shows that 6/10 people in prison have experienced a brain injury illustrating the importance of training in this area.
During this workshop we will showcase our brain injury link-worker service and discuss the impact of brain injury on the prison population. We will also provide practical advice on how to best support these men and women. There will also be an opportunity to watch the award-winning Invisible Me short film which conveys the experience of brain injury from the perspective of our service user J.
