Take a fascinating glimpse into the people and history of Holland’s past. Pilgrim Home Cemetery, is the resting place of several notable Holland figures, including founder Reverend Albertus Van Raalte and the city’s first mayor, Isaac Cappon. Explore graves at PilgrimHome Cemetery–from Civil War vets, to town founders, to the “strong right arm” that rests there. Cemeteries are filled with stories! Pilgrim Home Cemetery has thousands of them! Sadly, without a guide, you can only read names and dates. But there's so much more! On this 90-minute walking tour through this historic graveyard, you will learn about Holland history from the very beginning to recent days. Come hear about Holland's key players, heroes and heartaches. You'll even see a "meteorite" gravestone! Each guest will receive an individually wrapped Dutch treat and a bottle of water.
