About the event

Join author Gareth Hopkins for a gloriously silly story time all about Cliff, the lonely fisherman who a seagull decides to befriend (by landing on his head). You’ll laugh! You’ll squawk! You’ll cry! (But in a good way.) There’ll be the world’s most difficult quiz: Seagull or Beagle? A draw-a-long where you’ll learn how to sketch Cliff’s feathered lodger, and a chance to make your very own seagull hat to take home. You’ll never look at a seagull in the same way again!

About Gareth

Gareth has written adverts on the telly, adverts on the radio, adverts on ginormous billboards that make you want to buy a pair of trainers and run really fast. But when he’s not doing that, he LOVES writing stories for children. Very silly stories starring very silly characters that are as memorable as any jingle. He lives in Warwickshire, not far from Shakespeare’s birthplace, but the similarities end there. His debut picture book with Beatrice Blue, Super Mega Tortoise, smashed onto shelves in April this year. Closely followed by Cliff: The Man With a Seagull on His Head, with the award-winning illustrator, Alex Latimer.

This family event is most suitable for ages 3-7 but all ages are welcome.
