Calling all sneaky squirrels, criminal masterminds and chaos loving readers! Join Nick East for a fun-filled Squirrel Shady event of drawing, storytelling and Big City mayhem. Invent your own wicked crime lord, cook up a ridiculous caper, and prepare for all sorts of nut filled silliness and possibly even a song or two. 

About Nick 

Nick East is the illustrator of the bestselling Toto the Ninja Cat series written by Dermot O'Leary, Shipwrecked by Jenny Pearson, and Michelle Robinson’s popular Goodnight... picture-book series, among many others.

He is also the author-illustrator of his own children’s fiction series, Agent Weasel, with a brand-new comic crime series, Squirrel Shady, publishing in 2026.

He worked for many years as a museum and exhibition designer on exciting projects including the London Science Museum and the Eureka Museum for Children, but has always been a scribbler and storyteller for most of his life. Nick is based near York.

This event is most suitable for ages 6-9 but all ages are welcome.
