Clare will join host Sarah Harrison to discuss her latest book, Agent Zo—a gripping biography of the extraordinary Elżbieta Zawacka, a WWII hero whose courage and determination changed history.

Agent Zo tells the incredible true story of Elżbieta Zawacka, known as "Zo," the only woman to serve as an emissary for the Polish Home Army in London during World War II. A member of the elite Special Forces, the ‘Silent Unseen,’ she parachuted into Nazi-occupied Poland, where she played a pivotal role in the Warsaw Uprising, all while being relentlessly pursued by the Gestapo, who targeted her family.

After the war, Zawacka became one of Poland's most decorated women. Yet her legacy was nearly erased when the Soviet-backed Communist regime imprisoned her and attempted to suppress her remarkable contributions to history.
