Please join us for an exhibition walkthrough with Lauren Bon Saturday, December 7th at 1PM. Bon will guide visitors through major themes embedded within Concrete is Fluid, and invites us to join her in reimagining how cultural events can catalyze long-term ecological renewal.

During the walkthrough Lauren Bon will lead a critical discussion about the Getty Pacific Standard Time (PST) initiative, challenging us to see beyond a momentary cultural exhibition and instead view it as a potential mechanism for systemic change. This event invites participants to consider how a singlar exhibition can act as a watershed moment, setting in motion a flow of transformative work that the city—and its people—so urgently need.
In Concrete is Fluid, Bon ask how this might happen. The large triangle, a marker of undevelopment, becomes a gesture toward repair. The unearthed materials, drawn from beneath the city’s hardened surfaces, speak of buried histories and interrupted ecosystems. Together, they propose a speculative future: where flows—of water, people, and resources—are restored to balance. The walkthrough in turn is a compelling opportunity to meet with Bon and workshop ways to reimagine urban and ecological futures.
Concrete is Fluid is a featured exhibition of PST ART: Art & Science Collide.
