Need help?
Hope for Families is delighted to offer the accredited FAA Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health Level 1 Award training course for professionals and individuals working with families.
Our NUCO-trained First Aid for Mental Health instructors will guide you through the training material, with plenty of time for discussion in small groups, ensuring that you feel confident and ready for the final assessment. This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, start a supportive conversation, and when and how to signpost someone to professional help. Learners will learn how to recognise and manage stress. Learners will not diagnose or treat mental health conditions as this can only be carried out by healthcare professionals, but will be able to identify when a person may have a suspected mental health condition, offer reassurance and support, and know where they can go to get help.
This qualification is regulated in the UK and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA).
The training will be held online using Zoom video conferencing software and will run on the following date:
FAA Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health Level 1 Award - Wednesday 21st October (9:30am - 2:30pm)
Places are limited - we have a maximum number of 8 participants per course so we can facilitate good discussions- so please do book ASAP to secure your place. The cost for this training is £50 .
