Systems Change with your Local Authorities: Session 3 Finding Common Ground and ways of advocating for change
Multiple dates and times
Online, Zoom
Description
Hope for the Future is a democratic engagement charity that specialises in helping to bridge the gap between communities and their elected representatives. We are running a series of training sessions as part of the Nature Neighbourhoods programme focussed on helping communities to be able to develop their relationship with their local authorities so that they can change the system positively for the climate and nature in their local area.
Session 3: Finding Common Ground and ways of advocating for change
Join us for a one hour virtual training session - where we will be covering the following topics:
Using research to find areas of common ground with your local politician
Developing SMART asks for your local authorities that increase your likelihood of success
Examples of SMART asks around key topics that might be useful such as developing better internal processes, a formal partnership, or attending your events, etc.
How best to demonstrate your community mandate in political engagement
Opportunities for political engagement and how to make the most of them: i.e. formal meetings, events, inviting them to your space, etc.
We can't wait to see you there! The zoom link will be provided to you once you've signed up.
There are two times and dates to choose from to attend this session.
