SPEAKER PROFILE:

Shaykha Saleha Bukhari Islam is an Islamic scholar, Chaplain, Educator, Counselor and Speaker working with numerous grassroots organisations. She is a member of the Board of Scholars at The Muslim Law (Shariah) Council UK and works with various other advisory councils. She is a Chaplain at Canary Wharf Multi-Faith Chaplaincy and has previously worked with Barts Health NHS trust.

Shaykha Saleha is a Shari’ah graduate who completed her Alamiyya studies at Ebrahim College (UK) as a mature student. She studied further specialising in Hadith – thereby obtaining Ijazah in Sahih Al-Bukhari. She is a student of a renowned scholar in Madina, Shaykh Qari Bashir Ahmed Siddique and holds Certification (Ijaazah) in recitation of the Quran from him. She has a BSc Hons in Computing studies.

Shaykha has been an instructor in Islamic sciences for under 10 years and currently teaches at Ebrahim College and Q-Iman. Shaykha was also one of the first female scholars to appear on the live Q&A show IslamiQA on Islam Channel.
