Hope Valley Art Trail By Rail 2026

Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September 10am - 5pm

The Hope Valley Art Trail by Rail returns for its second year and takes place 26-27 September 2026. This is a unique event to the area, celebrating local creativity and sustainable travel. Everyone will be invited to travel on the Hope Valley railway line and local buses to hop on and off and explore local creativity village by village. 

When: This year the Art Trail by Rail takes place over the full weekend 26-27 September 10am till 5pm so you can visit the venues easily by train, bus and foot.

What’s on: We have over 40 artists taking part across multiple venues between Chinley station and Grindleford station, offering everything from sketching and ceramics to painting and open studio visits. We will also have an activity booklet for all ages to complete along the trail and free workshops, demonstrations and refreshments.

Where: On the day visit one of our venues taking part to collect your printed Art Trail by Rail brochure which includes a map and details of the artists and activities for the weekend. This will also be listed online a few weeks before the event.
