Mirrorshades 3.0
Horizon Megagames is back with Mirrorshades, the original cyberpunk megagame. Sign up for six hours of neon-drenched, 80s influenced gaming fun!
It the late 21st Century and life in the West Coast Sprawl is dominated by powerful mega-corporations. Yet on the street, rebellious punks, drenched in blazing bright neon, search for another way to live. The world is about to change…and you will decide whether it is the mega-rich oligarchs or the neo-anarchists who come out on top.
Mirrorshades is a megagame of classic cyberpunk, in the tradition of Neuromancer, Altered Carbon and Netrunner. In the game players take on the roles of the megacorp leadership and the punks who both despise and serve them.
Jockeying for position are the four CEOs of the megacorps, each desperate to have total power and limitless wealth. Few can guess which of Ares Technology, Tyrell-Ashpool, Haas Biomechanics or Greater Hong Kong Security will come out on top, but they’ll stop at nothing to get there.
Yet there is another faction too - the hacker messiah and punk activist, Fastjack - who is looking for real change and an end to corp dominance - will he change life for the better or just sell out for few bucks?
Around them are many varied teams of Punks each with their own goals and dreams - some have their own political ideals, some just want to make cash, and a few just enjoying setting off explosions.

What’s new in Mirrorshades 3.0?
This is an updated version of Mirrorshades which keeps the same core mechanics and roles as 2.0 but provides all new plots elements, some updated briefs and several new side stories. So even if you’ve played before they’ll be new things to discover!
What kind of megagame is it?
Mirrorshades is a game heavy on roleplaying and everyone plays a unique character much like in a tabletop RPG, with their character’s personal views and objectives being a key part of the game. There is some pre-reading needed to understand the world and learn all game systems in use - however the rules themselves are not overly complex and there will be plenty of control players on hand to guide you on the day.
What roles are there?
Most of the teams in the game include four players and come in two types -
Corps - The four megacorps trying to rule the world via profit, influence and underhand dealings. These teams include one CEO and three Division Managers.
CEO - The leader of the team and a political role full of discussion and negotiation - you are focused on delivering success for your corp and becoming elected to Chair of the Corporate Court
Divisional Manager - You run one sector of the city for your Corp - managing everything that happens in that area on the maps and dealing with the Punks that operate there.
Punks - Each punk team has different objectives but will be undertaking runs and other actions each turn as they make money and forward their plans. Each Punk team has four roles:
Face - You’re charming and you know how to talk, you find the jobs, sort the deals and make sure the team get paid.
Gun - You shoot, you punch and you might even kick from time-to-time. You deal with the messy jobs and keep the team safe.
Hacker - The virtual world is your domain. The others might get you to the server but you have to go into VR and find the paydata.
Rigger - Vehicles and drones are your world. You can bring the heavy firepower and most importantly drive the escape vehicle once those alarms get triggered.
Punk Media - There is also small media team led by Arachnid Bethlehem, punk reporter, who digs for the truth and presents it to the people each turn.
