The IOSH Leading Safely course is for top management with an eye on valuable business benefits. Safety and health is not just a legal requirement, it's integral in many of today's successful companies. It brings huge benefits for reputation, productivity and results. This online, tutor-led, interactive course is being delivered by Louise Hosking in two convenient online sessions.
About the course
Leading Safely is an IOSH accredited course designed for senior decision makers, Partners or Director level roles. During the course, we take you on a journey exploring your perspective of risk, what you really know about how your organisation is managing Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), and your attitude toward it.
We discuss your sphere of influence and how business ethics are increasingly under closer scrutiny by investors, workers, customers and the media. We talk about how responsible and sustainable businesses with a focus on OSH can be future fit, attract and retain the brightest talent, and how to use this as a brand differentiator. We discuss openly the consequences when OSH leadership falls short but focus mainly on how positive OSH is good for everyone and good for business development.
“The Healthy profit”[1] by IOSH has shown for every €1 invested in safety, health & wellness initiatives there is a return of €2.20. It is rare to leave this 5-hour Leading Safely course with the same mindset you came in with. You are challenged to reflect on the standards within your organisation and not just rely on a perception from board reporting (which might not be a true reflection on actual standards). At the end of the session, you create a SMART personal commitment which becomes a vision, a mission, and a set of values with which to transform your organisation strategically.
Includes the opportunity to ask the trainer questions and interact with other attendees during the sessions.
