Chester Santa Dash 2026

Get ready to bring the festive spirit back to Chester! On Sunday 6th December, one of the city’s most beloved Christmas traditions returns — the Chester Santa Dash. Once again, the streets will be transformed into a joyful sea of red as hundreds of Santas take to the route to raise vital funds for The Hospice of the Good Shepherd and The Countess Charity.

It’s not a race, and you don’t need to be a runner. You can walk, jog, run, or stroll at your own pace. The real magic comes from being part of a huge crowd of Santas spreading festive spirit through the city centre.

Whether you're joining solo, rallying friends, bringing the whole family, or getting your colleagues involved, the Santa Dash is a brilliant way to kick off the festive season. Many participants also choose to dash in memory of a loved one, making the event even more meaningful.

👕 All participants aged 5+ will receive a Santa suit and a festive finisher’s medal to celebrate your achievement. Suit collection details will be shared closer to the day.

🎶 Expect plenty of Christmas cheer along the route, with entertainment to keep the festive energy high from start to finish. The dash begins at 10am — and trust us, you won’t want to miss that starting-line buzz.

Entry details for our September Super Early Bird - ONLY AVAILABLE FOR 1 WEEK UNTIL THE 7TH OF SEPTEMBER: 

• Adults & children (5+) – £14, includes Santa suit + medal
• Children under 5 – £5, includes finisher’s medal (no suit)
• All under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult
• Route is 3.75km
