Chester Twilight Walk

Join us for the brand-new Chester Twilight Walk on Saturday 26th September, starting from Edgar's Field in Handbridge (CH4 7JE).

This family-friendly 5km sponsored walk is perfect for all ages, with an earlier evening start time making it ideal for children, families, friends and colleagues to take part together. Whether you're walking for someone special, celebrating their life, or simply supporting your local hospice, everyone is welcome to join us.

The Chester Twilight Walk is an opportunity to come together to remember loved ones we have lost or those living with a life limiting illness, whether cared for by the hospice or not. While the event will provide moments for reflection, it is also a joyful celebration of life, love and community. Expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter, music and togetherness as we light up the city at twilight.

The scenic route will take you through Chester city centre, joining the historic walls and passing many of the city's famous landmarks, including the Town Hall, Cathedral, Eastgate Clock, Roman Gardens and the River Dee, before returning to our event village for medals and refreshments.

Event t-shirts can be purchased for just £5 (for collection on the evening). If you would like one, simply add the Event T-shirt option when signing up.

Registration opens from 6:00pm, with the walk setting off at 7:30pm, just as the sun begins to set across the city. Before the walk starts, enjoy live entertainment, food vendors and colourful event merchandise. Along the route, you'll discover surprise entertainment acts to keep spirits high and energy levels up.

As day turns to dusk and Chester begins to glow, you'll join hundreds of others in a memorable evening of remembrance, celebration and community support, helping to light up the city in honour of those who will always hold a place in our hearts. 

**PLEASE NOTE**

• Your entry fee helps cover the cost of staging the event, but it is your sponsorship that makes a real difference to local hospice care. While there is no minimum sponsorship target, we encourage every walker to raise as much as they can. Every pound raised helps our remarkable doctors, nurses and support teams continue to provide compassionate care to local patients and families when they need it most. Whether you are walking in memory of a loved one, celebrating someone special, or supporting your local hospice, your fundraising will help ensure that more families can receive expert care, comfort and support through some of life's most challenging moments. If you don't feel able to fundraise, we would be grateful if you would consider making an optional donation when you sign up.

• Online registration is only available until Monday 21^st of September. You will also be able to sign up on the day from 6pm.

• Children's tickets are for under 16s. Under 16s must have an adult or guardian present that is also taking part in the event.

• The route is fully accessible.

• We invite friendly dogs to join you on a lead.
