The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Hospital. What do all these iconic bands have in common? They're defunct, kaput, and not really doing much to speak of. But wait... what if I told you that at least one of those bands are reuniting for one magical night in Downtown Knoxville to shake the foundations of the musical world as we know it?
Let's take a quick trip back in time shall we? All the way back to the early 2000's. Emo was all the rage and Rage Against the Machine was embracing capitalism like the flaming hypocrites they are. I'm looking at you Tom Morello. The local Knoxville music scene was ablaze with amazing musical acts. You could regularly stroll down to Market Square and catch Galaxie at the Mercury or the Channel boys at The Prince Deli out west. You might even see legendary Christian acts like Nailed, Disciple, Hospital, or Omega Rage at The Biker Church in Maryville. What a time to be alive.
If you're like me and long for those simpler days then this event is for you my friend. Do you remember 98.7 the X? Then you probably need to see your doctor about that colonoscopy you've been putting off AND you get your tickets for the last Hospital show to ever grace God's green earth. It's an all ages show, for the ages. We're pulling out all the stops and most likely pulling our backs in the process.
We're celebrating the 20th anniversary of the last record we released "Inignot." We're also unveiling the 20th anniversary Inignot with 4 previously unreleased songs! You won't want to miss Hospice's uh, I mean Hospital's final show.
Thursday October 19th at 7pm at The Square Room on Market Square
General Admission is... $10
VIP tickets are... $30 include access to a special VIP area, a vile of Brent's sweat (it cures gout and is quite fragrant) and also a new copy of Hospital's Inignot release with those four hot new/old songs.
