Join us for a fun-filled afternoon raising awareness for a good cause! Picnic for Parkinson's is hosted by the Calgary Parkinson's Research Initiative (CaPRI), an organization dedicated to research and care for those living with Parkinson's Disease.
Picnic for Parkinson's brings together a community of people living with and affected by Parkinson's and related movement disorders. Meet the CaPRI research team, connect with individuals with lived experience, along with the family and friends supporting their loved ones. This is a family-friendly gathering, featuring face-painting, outdoor games, Big T's food truck, and physio tips from local physio clinics.

The Hotchkiss Brain Institute coordinates the Calgary Parkinson Research Initiative (CaPRI), a research network on movement disorders with partners at the University of Calgary, Campus Alberta Neuroscience, C-OPN, Parkinson Association of Alberta, Quebec Parkinson Network, and Parkinson Canada. The CaPRI network allows understanding of the origins of the disease and its diverse symptoms, as well as developing and testing treatments to address them.
