HBI Open Science Day 2026
From Principles to Practice: Building an Open Research Community
Open Science is more than a set of principles. It is a way of doing research that can make knowledge more accessible, transparent, collaborative and impactful.
Join the Hotchkiss Brain Institute for a half-day event exploring where open research stands at HBI, the challenges we face, and how researchers across our community can put Open Science into practice.
The event will bring together researchers, trainees and Open Science advocates for a keynote lecture, Open Science success stories, interactive workshops and opportunities for discussion and connection.
Featured speaker: Dr. Stefanie Haustein, PhD
Dr. Haustein is an Associate Professor at the School of Information Studies at the University of Ottawa and co-director of the ScholCommLab. Her research focuses on scholarly communication, research evaluation and Open Science, with an emphasis on open access and research data sharing and reuse.
