2023 H.O.T. Government Christmas Party & Potluck

We are happy to announce the 2023 H.O.T. Government Annual Christmas Party! This has been an incredible year; we have all worked extremely hard and achieved so much. To celebrate all we have achieved, this year’s event will be held at County Line Hall in Union Grove, this is a beautiful event space that can hold up to 300 people.

• Salad & Dressing
• Potluck food: We are looking for volunteers that could help bring additional dishes to the event to help keep costs down.  This is not mandatory, but would be greatly appreciated! 

APPETIZERS & DESSERT

• We are looking for volunteers that could help bring an appetizer or dessert to help keep costs down. This is not mandatory but would be greatly appreciated!

DRINKS

• Soda & Water Provided.
• If you would like to bring alcohol to drink, you are welcome to do so, but will not be provided by the event!

CHILDREN ARE ENCOURAGED

• Kids' will be able to run around and play throughout the party.
• We will have games for the kids to play (Bean Bag Toss, Inflatable Bowling, Disc Golf, Golf Ball Rope Toss, Laser Tag).
• We put a call into the North Pole and Santa Claus has confirmed he will be making an appearance to spend some time listening to what the kids want for Christmas.
• Santa said he may have an early present for kids who have behaved this year.

ADULTS

• We are planning a white elephant gift exchange, if you would like to participate please bring a inexpensive (and hopefully hilarious) gift.
• Bring your own games

WANT TO HELP?

We could use some help in the following areas

• Optional: If you would like to bring an appetizer, main dish, or dessert, that would be greatly appreciated!
• Optional: If you would like to help cover tickets for Patriots that are having financial hardship, that would be greatly appreciated!
• Optional: If you would like to help setup or take down the event, we could use some assistance with both!

TICKET COST

• If you would like to pay cash, you can do so at any H.O.T. Government meeting and avoid the $2.00 fee.
• Please note that we were just notified that the company Ticket Tailer users has raised the price for credit card processing.  We now have to pay a % of the order in a processing fee + a set fee per ticket + another set fee from Ticket Tailor, so the processing cost has gone up to $2.00.  We are so sorry for this unexpected change!
• Costs have been rising, the event location is more than double the cost from last year, food has also gone up substantially (Thanks Joe).  To keep the event as cost effective as possible, we are hoping people can help out fill gaps beyond what is being provided.
• We also understand that times are tough, we don't want to have people miss out because finances don't allow. We do have some limited donations available to help those in need. Please reach out and we will determine if funding is still available and work to ensure you can join us!

HOTEL

• If you are planning to join us but out of range to drive back home. Please reach out and we will try to help coordinate a block of hotel rooms for those in need of lodging.
