PHOENIX CITY ALL-STARS
will be making rare live appearances with a two night residency at London’s iconic venue - The Hope & Anchor, N1, this December (22 & 23).
The All-stars will be playing an extraordinary set that will include not only their next studio album - 'Rocksteady Is King’ (a sublime rocksteady take on one of the 20th centuries greatest songwriters - Carole King) but also hits from their four previous albums; 2 Tone Gone Ska, Skatisfaction, Searching for the Young Ska Rebels and Clash Version Rockers!
For the very first time, you can expect "truly unqiue and inspired authentic ska takes" on The Specials, Madness, The Beat, The Selecter, The Rolling Stones, Dexys Midnight Runners and The Clash… Live! It is going to be some set!
To make the nights even more special, and to tie in with the venues incredible musical history, Happy People Records will be releasing an exclusive/previously unreleased version ot the All-stars - One Step Beyond, the Prince Buster classic that was of course covered by Madness, who shot their video for their version at... The Hope & Anchor.
The Phoenix City All-stars - One Step Beyond (version) 7" will only be available to purchase with advance tickets. These will be individually cut by hand/made to order on clear, square 7" vinyl and are only available for collection at the shows. These will be very limited and all numbered, making their ultra rare and ultra collectible.
