Hound Theater Co.

Hound is a beautiful collaborative feral beast and she's happy to meet you.

We got tired of waiting for someone to give us permission to make the things we wanted to make, so we made it anyway. With the rooms we could get into. With the people who wanted to be there. With whatever we had in our pockets.

Somewhere along the wild way, we remembered that extraordinary theater doesn’t require extraordinary resources. And we realized that the most important thing we could do was keep making...and remind other people that they can make, too.

And so the circle got bigger.

What started in a one-bedroom apartment became rooms full of people. Those people became collaborators, witnesses, friends, and a Pack.  One that you're a part of, now too.

We see art as protest not only against BIG THEATER (TM) but against the world we live in and the systems that don't serve us. Art as rebellion. Art as ritual. Art as a reason to gather in a room together and remember that we are alive. We call on Hound to hold the container in which we make together.

We make theater that is artist-first. We make it in theaters, apartments, bars, back rooms, and wherever else someone will let us turn the lights down...and up...and down again.

We believe limitations are invitations. We believe artists need a creative home. And we believe extraordinary theater can happen anywhere.

No hustle. All howl. 🐺

Thanks for stepping off the path and into the wild with us, if only for a short time.

Welcome to the pack.
