Stories Told: A Virtual Event with Author Jasmine Warga
Thu Mar 13, 2025 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT
Online, Zoom
Description
Join the Harbor Springs Festival of the Book on Thursday, March 13 at 1:00 p.m. as we present award-winning middle grade author, Jasmine Warga, in a Zoom webinar conversation about her book, Other Words for Home. This Newbery Honor Book is a life-affirming story about losing and finding home, and most importantly, finding yourself.
This free webinar comes with a copy of Jasmine's book (one book for every 10 students while supplies last) thanks to a grant from the Michigan Arts & Culture Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. The number of registrations will equal the number of books you will receive (Example: if class size is 10-19 students, select 2 Registrations, if class size is 20-29, select 3 Registrations, etc.).
The event format will include a discussion of Other Words for Home and there will be time for Q & A. Please submit questions in advance to info@hsfotb.org and include your school name and grade. See the publisher's educator guide for Other Words for Home here.
This webinar will be recorded and available for viewing through May 31 should you not be able to watch it live.
Click the button to the right to register. Books will be mailed or delivered to the address provided in the registration.
For additional information or questions, please contact Amy at info@hsfotb.org.
