Need help?
Discover how to provide outlets for normal puppy behavior, minimize potty accidents; and manage, control and prevent inappropriate behavior like jumping, chewing on shoes and other other things, hard mouthing and nipping on hands and legs. In puppy class, we go over the best ways to meet your puppy's basic needs in a way that makes everyone happy!
Appropriate for age: 10 weeks through 6 months
Prerequisites: Must have received minimum 2 rounds of vaccinations before the first in-person class. Age-appropriate distemper (minimum of 2 doses at least 2 weeks apart) and rabies (some puppies may not have received the rabies vaccine yet) vaccinations are required, and vaccination history must be presented to trainer at orientation. Bordetella and Canine Influenza vaccines are recommended but not required. You must be able to attend ALL classes and also have access to a computer, Zoom and email.

Please note:
- Classes are a combination of online (Zoom) and in-person. The first class, orientation, will be on Zoom. In-person classes will typically be held indoors at HSHV's Education Center, but may occasionally be outdoors, weather-permitting. You must have access to a computer, Zoom and email.
- Class sizes are limited. Two family members may attend with your dog, though we have a lot of online, supplemental materials to involve other members of your family, too..
- Please read all prerequisites and dates carefully; class registration is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
