Get up close and personal with the iconic River Tweed in these special guided walks by local guide Stewart Wilson AKA Tweed Valley Blogger. Stewart will bring the landscape of the river and its surrounding hills to life, while telling the story of the industry which once dominated the area. Expect historical gems and tales of local worthies & wildlife along the way on these two walks, exclusive for Open Studios weekend.

The walks are approx. 4km in length and fully accessible, using the Tweed Valley Railway Path and pavements. They will take approximately 1.5 hours to complete with a warming cuppa at the end of both.

NB: Please dress for the weather. Though most of the path is flat, tarmac please wear suitable footwear for potentially muddy and uneven ground. In the event of extreme weather we will cancel the walk and let you know via your booking email or phone number – so please leave a contact number when booking if possible.

Walks are free but tickets must be booked in advance.
