Sir Peter Morris Lecture 2026

On behalf of the Hugh Cairns Surgical Society, I am delighted to invite you to this year’s Sir Peter Morris Lecture, taking place on Thursday 28 May 2026 at Pembroke College, Oxford. The evening will begin with a drinks reception from 17:30, before proceeding to the Pichette Auditorium, where the lecture at 18:30.

We are honoured to welcome Mr Tim Mitchell, President of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, who will deliver this year’s lecture titled “A View from the Boundary – Reflections on a Life in Surgery.”

We are aiming to bring together students and faculty to foster surgical education in Oxford and inspire the next generation of surgeons. We would be delighted if you were able to join us for this special event.
