What is a June Event?

A June Event is an annual, student-run event during Cambridge May Week. It offers a more affordable alternative to a traditional May Ball, while still delivering a full evening of food, drinks, and entertainment.

Can bursary students receive a discounted ticket?

Yes! If you are at Hughes Hall and in receipt of the Undergraduate & Medic Cambridge Bursary, please email finance.officer@hughes.cam.ac.uk. Once verified, you will receive a discount code which will reduce your ticket price to £50!

What does my ticket include?

All tickets include complimentary food as well as a selection of alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. 

What is the dress code?

The dress code is formal - black tie optional. 

How many tickets can I buy? 

You can buy up to 5 tickets. If you require more than this please contact mayball.president@hughes.cam.ac.uk. 

Please note that all attendees must be at least 18 years old on the evening of the event (ID may be required). 

Can I get a refund? 

You are able to get a refund (only if you have a valid reason with evidence attached) up till the 4th June 2026.
