“Pressed to Impress:” Creative Flower Pressing
Spend a creative summer afternoon exploring the art of pressed flowers in this relaxed, hands-on workshop inspired by the walled garden at The Hugo Burge Foundation. You’ll learn simple flower-pressing techniques, gather seasonal blooms, and use a microwave flower press to preserve your finds. Using a beautiful selection of pre-pressed flowers and foliage, you’ll then create your own pressed flower wall hanging, anything from a minimalist botanical specimen to a more expressive and complex floral composition. No prior experience is required and all materials will be provided. Attendees will leave with a finished artwork and the skills to continue pressing flowers at home with their own microwave press.
